FAQs

Advantage of Professional counseling:

Neurobiology tells us that telling your stories cultivates a deeply felt, body-based feeling of security that we all need. When you can share your experiences yet be spared the unhelpful intrusions of a self referential listening partner, that which has the power to subvert you if left unseen can instead be rendered invaluable.

Professional counselors receive training that provides them with specific tools for accessing & working with hidden or unconscious material,  geared to navigate defenses and encourage faculties for healing.

The counseling relationship offers a space where you can be seen and heard fully, without bias, in the depth of who you are without shame or pretense. You can discover that how you know yourself can be known by another. When your inner reality comes into conversation with a safe, wise, compassionate external reality, it paves the way for a new relationship to yourself and your own life.

Populations served:

I work with adults, young adults and adolescents who wish to improve the quality of their lives; all genders, races, religions and abilities. I provide a compassionate and individualized approach to clients bringing questions and concerns of all kinds.
